The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) has confirmed the appointment of a new chairman and assistant chairman for its Southern region.
Andrew Hogger, director of Slough-based Universal Security Group, has been elected chairman. He began working in the security sector as a teenager and currently runs the ‘alarms’ department within Universal, with the company providing intruder, CCTV and access control systems for domestic and commercial properties.
Brian Cotterill, quality manager for Orion Security Solutions in Oxford, has been elected assistant chairman for the Southern region. Cotterill has vast professional experience and previously dealt with all aspects of security during 20 years spent with a major high street retailer.
Each of the 10 regions across the UK has a chairman and assistant chairman nominated from NSI NACOSS Gold companies within the regions, with the assistant chairman also sitting on the NSI’s Regional Technical Liaison Committee
NSI Regional Meetings provide a link between the NSI Executive and its NACOSS Gold approved companies and take place every six months to discuss shared experiences, industry updates and discussions on best practice.
