Security Media Publishing has appointed Laura Wilkes as their new Sub-Editor. Having studied International Politics and English Literature at University, Laura has long been interested in the written word and the study of security from an International perspective.

Having previously written for and edited a politics section in an award winning online magazine, she is looking forward to bringing together her journalism experience and interest in new media in moving forward in her sub-editor role. “I could not be more excited to join the Security Media Publishing team” she said of her new role, “Not only is this a brilliant opportunity to work across many media platforms in an industry as varied and interesting as security but also a privilege to work in such a forward thinking and determined publishing team.”

Laura takes over from Deputy Editor Kirsty McMahon. Philip Ingram, Managing Director of Security Media Publishing said, “Laura joins us as we bid a fond farewell to Kirsty, who has moved on to a new position with a technical PR agency. Her efforts over the last two years have helped increase our social media footprint and bolstered our online output. We wish her all the best in her new role. Laura completes the new editorial team and is ideally suited and qualified to help us get to the next level. Her energy and ideas are just what we need to remain at the forefront, informing and supporting the global security industry.”
