Ogier Scan-360 and Dahua NVR integrate to protect perimeters

Ogier Scan-360 and Dahua NVR integrate to protect perimeters, distributed by Oprema

Ogier Electronics, designers and manufacturers of microwave transmission solutions, has announced the integration of its new Scan-360 detection product with Dahua’s 600 series NVRs. The integration provides a full 360 degrees of real-time detection from one device for the protection of large perimeters, and is now available from Dahua’s authorised UK distributor, Oprema.

Scan-360 is a radar based threat detector with an operational range able to detect humans and vehicles from up to 200 metres. Designed to remotely operate a PTZ camera, Scan-360 is suitable for use in all weather conditions and multi-terrains, for the cost of little more than a standard PTZ camera. When integrated with the Dahua 600 series NVR, this system allows for remote, 24/7 real-time incident management, providing customers with the ideal monitoring solution for the protection of large open areas, such as utility sites, data centres, airfields, solar farms, building sites and compounds.

“It’s great to be working with two of our strategic partners to make this new cost effective perimeter protection solution available to our customers,” comments Tim Duggan, Technical Director at Oprema.

“The integration allows for up to 36 zones to be configured in 10 degree sectors, providing a full 360 degrees of detection. Each 10 degree sector can be configured from 20 metres up to 400 metres, making this an ideal solution for the protection of large open spaces of up to 125,000sqm. When an incident is detected, the system’s cause and effect programming can trigger recordings for later analysis, activate PTZs, relay outputs and provide custom alarm views. Operators can also benefit from alerts in Dahua’s proprietary CMS and mobile software Smart PSS /DMSS.”

Mark Rainbow, Marketing Director at Ogier Electronics, said:

“It’s a pleasure to be working with Dahua to develop this new 360 degree perimeter detection system. Designed to answer the needs of the security market, Scan-360 boasts a very low false alarm rate and is easy to install and integrate with existing cameras and the Dahua 600 Series NVRs. As the UK’s premier Dahua distributor, and with its expert technical team, Oprema is the ideal supplier and technical support provider to help users install this new integrated system.”
