Putting cyber security in place and developing strategies to manage security risks doesn’t have to break your business, but it can certainly help save it.

Recent circumstances have meant that many businesses have created a new way of working, which has consequently exposed risks, such as VPN vulnerabilities, to increased online scams and phishing emails.

Understanding what you can do to manage your organisation’s cyber security effectively can be the competitive advantage needed in today’s online, interactive world.

The PDSC, in partnership with BSI, have developed a three-part webinar series to explore what the most common risks are and what practical steps you need to take now.

Speakers will include David Mudd, Global Digital and Connected Product Certification Director, BSI; Simon Newman, Head of Cyber and Business Services, Police Crime Prevention Initiatives and Neil Sinclair, National Cyber Lead at the Police Digital Security Centre who was recognised in ‘The Progress 1000: London’s most influential people 2019’ for his work in Technology & Cyber Security.

Webinar 1: What does cyber security do for me?
Wednesday 4 November 10.00 – 11.00 GMT

Webinar 2: What is my digital risk?
Thursday 26 November 10.00 – 11.00 GMT

The impact of Covid19 has seen 49% of people working from home according to The Office of National Statistics.

Is your workforce, home working, in the office or a mix of both? Do they bring their own device, use a VPN? If you answered yes to any, or all the questions then you have an attack surface that needs managing. Understanding your exposure needn’t be difficult and is the first step to risk mitigation.

This webinar will;

–        Help you understand your digital footprint and the risks

–        Explore how to carry out a pragmatic risk assessment process

–        Help you understand what you do with this risk assessment?

You can register for this webinar here https://page.bsigroup.com/l/73472/2020-10-13/vpsgrb

So what are the most practical things you can do to make your business a digitally resilient one?
