Looking back on a 27-year career in the security industry, John spent the last 13 years working with High Security customers in Nuclear, Utilities, and Government, overseeing the deployment and development of complex integrated security systems in highly demanding environments.

In his new role, John will be responsible for understanding and meeting the needs of clients, ensuring open dialogue and ongoing quality control as mission-critical systems are planned, designed, deployed, serviced, maintained and strategically upgraded over time.

John said: “High Security is a fascinating area to work in, due to the importance of the systems and the technology involved. Making changes and modifications to complex mission-critical systems always comes with a risk, which is why trust is a crucial element of the customer-supplier relationship in High Security, even more so than in other sectors.”

“Trust is built up over time, in long-standing relationships with customer organisations and contacts. It’s my role now to be at the customer’s side, making sure everything runs smoothly with the tasks at hand, but also taking the long and strategic view at how to best support them over time.”

John Young, Sector Lead for QSG’s High Security team commented on John’s appointment: “QSG has a long track record of working on High Security projects and there’s a wealth of specialist expertise in the organisation. A seasoned expert like John, with his in-depth knowledge of mission critical systems, will provide continuity and a rock-solid approach to customer relationship management in this critical sector, ensuring uncompromising service and support.”
