SafeToGo Solo intended for SMEs wanting to transport data securely

Cardwave, a leading expert in flash memory technology solutions, has expanded its SafeToGo USB security range with a new GDPR compliant AES-256 bit XTS hardware encrypted USB 3.0.

Providing a highly competitive hardware encrypted USB solution for individuals and SMEs wanting to transport data securely, the new SafeToGo Solo hardware encrypted USB includes many of the features of its sister drive SafeToGo but without the management console element.

The features include mandatory password protection, automatic hardware encryption, user friendly setup, timer lockdown, hardware brute force protection, fast start up, rugged construction, Windows 7 – 10 compatible, capacities from 8GB to 64GB, currently available in English and German languages.

Paul Norbury, Chief Executive of Cardwave, commented,“Globally more than 20 million USBs are lost each year with nearly a third of office workers having no idea if their USBs are secure. SafeToGo Solo provides users with a highly competitively priced hardware encrypted USB with all the security features which enable it to be GDPR compliant”.

Cardwave, which has offices in Devizes, Wiltshire and Dallas, Texas, was founded by Paul Norbury in 2004 and works with customers of all sizes across the world, providing specialist expertise to organisations who need to secure and distribute their data on removable and embedded media.

SafeToGo was a finalist in the 2017 Computing Security Awards; Cardwave was named as an organisation of good practice in the Parliamentary Review 2017.
