SANS opens registrations for Nordic information security training

Stockholm and Oslo training events offer Forensics, Penetration Testing, and SANS’ highly popular Security Essentials track during March

SANS Institute will be offering four world-class training courses running simultaneously in Norway and Sweden from March 23rd to 28th to provide the opportunity to take some of SANS most important courses and to network with peers and SANS industry experts.

SANS Stockholm 2015 will host the popular SANS SEC560: Network Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking that prepares students to conduct successful penetration testing and ethical hacking tasks. The course starts with proper planning, scoping and recon, and then dives deep into scanning, target exploitation, password attacks, and wireless and web apps with detailed hands-on exercises and practical tips for doing the job safely and effectively.

The event will also run FOR508: Advanced Computer Forensic Analysis and Incident Response led by renowned SANS Instructor, Rob Lee. The course has been updated to reflect the continuing increase in sophisticated attacks against nearly every type of organization.

SANS Oslo 2015 will be offering SANS SEC542: Web App Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking that provides the opportunity to understand and learn web app vulnerabilities in-depth with tried-and-true techniques for finding them using a structured testing regime. Through detailed, hands-on exercises and training, attendees learn a four-step process for Web application penetration testing.

The Oslo event will also run the popular SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style providing an opportunity to learn the language and underlying theory of computer security. The updated course also includes essential, up-to-the-minute knowledge and skills required for people responsible for securing systems and organisations.
