Security Buyer Live introduces Darrel Gilmour

The Security Buyer Live team are delighted to announce the latest addition to our speaker line up, Darrell Gilmour!

Darrell is the Director of Technical Training at Skills for Security. With a background in security and fire, Darrell is perfectly placed to explore the necessity for recruitment and upskilling in the industry. Having spent 7 years specialising in business development at Kings Security and Marlowe Fire, Darrell underwent a number of engineering qualifications to best further his knowledge of Fire and Security. Darrell is dedicating his new role to help technical train and develop other members of the industry, old and new alike, with a particular focus on apprenticeships.

Security Buyer Live is the event for International Security Buyer Magazine, the leading and must-attend online event for both the passive and active sectors. With the rapid evolution of technologies, and the constant shift of policy and challenging requirements of users, it is now more important than ever to stay abreast of the issues that affect you.

With this in mind, Darrell will be delving deeper into “Training the next generation”. Darrell talks us through why education, training, recruitment and upskilling is so important for the progression of the security industry and what we can do to make the industry as a whole more appealing to young adults.
