BURG-WÄCHTER Group, Wetter (Ruhr), has acquired 100 per cent of the shares in Sanyo Video Vertrieb AG, Ahrensburg, from the founding shareholders. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
BURG-WÄCHTER Group, Wetter (Ruhr), is a family run corporation with a heritage of over 90 years. The company is an internationally renowned manufacturer of electronic and mechanical locks, letter boxes, door and window security, safes and cash boxes. BURG-WÄCHTER develops its products exclusively in Germany and maintains production facilities in Germany, Eastern Europe and China. The Group sells its products worldwide via DIY and hardware stores.
Founded in 1974, Sanyo Video Vertrieb AG, Ahrensburg, is a specialised manufacturer and value added reseller of video security systems for retail and industrial clients as well as public facilities. The company maintains a worldwide network of suppliers for the latest high-tech components, such as CCTV cameras, IP cameras, monitors, digital recorders and auxiliary products. Sanyo Video Vertrieb AG markets its products under its own SANTEC brand. In addition, Sanyo Video Vertrieb AG is a distributor for renowned partners from the video security industry.
In the future, Sanyo Video Vertrieb AG will operate as an independent company within the BURG-WÄCHTER Group. The current board members Lars Diestel and Paul de Jong will continue to head the company. With this acquisition, BURG-WÄCHTER complements its product portfolio with video security systems.
