SecurityNewsDesk welcomes new Assistant Editor

0c79f9bThe team at SecurityNewsDesk have recently bid a fond farewell to its Assistant Editor of almost a year, Drew Swainston, and welcomed its newest member, Kirsty McMahon.

Peter Mawson, Director of Media, said, “Drew’s contributions to SecurityNewsDesk has been excellent, and he will be greatly missed. I know he will succeed in his future endeavours and wish him well in his new career trajectory.

After a successful engagement with Kirsty McMahon via our Middle East branch in Dubai, the opportunity to engage her in the position of Assistant Editor here in the UK was too good to miss. I am looking forward to this new chapter, and to Kirsty’s valuable involvement with the team.”

Kirsty brings five year’s editorial and international experience to SecurityNewsDesk. After completing a degree in English Studies at Sheffield Hallam University in 2008, Kirsty joined Saad Group in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia as English Language Editor.

Over the next three and half years she worked on original copy across the spectrum of Saad Group’s activities, including healthcare material for Saad Hospital, education material for Saad Schools and copy for Saad’s construction arm. During her time in Saudi Arabia, Kirsty also served on the committee as Newsletter Editor for the British Business Association of the Eastern Province.

Following a move to Dubai, Kirsty joined Jebel Ali Free Zone’s busy marketing team in the role of Corporate Copywriter and Editor for almost a year, producing new sales material, speeches, press releases and launching the company’s bi-monthly magazine.

Kirsty then became a member of SecurityNewsDesk Middle East in Dubai for a short time before recently joining us in the UK in her new role as Assistant Editor.

Please join us in welcoming her, and feel free to contact her via email, or give her a call using the information below:
