Sony’s video security division has expanded in the UK with the appointment of Rob Clark as Channel Account Manager (CAM). Clark will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with installers and integrators for both IP and Analogue solutions in the UK together with the security team.

Based at Sony’s UK headquarter in Basingstoke, Clark brings a wealth of technical expertise and customer relationships with him, having spent over 20 years within the CCTV industry.  The appointment sees Clark reunited with the video security team at Sony, having left four years ago, where he will work closely with its Regional Sales Manager of North Europe, Bjorn Admeus.

The new hire demonstrates Sony’s investment in its video security division as well as its continued commitment to growth within the UK and EMEA markets.  It is announced during a sustained period of product development for Sony, culminating with the European shipping of its affordable SNC – CX600W wireless cameras and the launch of its 6 generation High Definition cameras.

Clark said: “Throughout my career, I’ve remained heavily involved in the latest security innovations across Europe, and it’s great to be back at Sony who is leading so many of those developments. Sony’s track record for product and market excellence speaks for itself and to be working with some familiar faces is the icing on the cake. I now look forward to bringing my experience to the role and further enhancing its security proposition within the European marketplace.”

Admeus added: “Rob’s background aligns precisely with Sony’s mission to put the customer first. He holds an incredible amount of industry expertise and has the desire to help us further define the evolving market requirements, keeping our solutions head and shoulders above the competition. We’re delighted he has returned to Sony after four years and will be an invaluable part of our efforts to evolve our position in the security industry.”
