Stephanie Hensler of Traka, has shared her thoughts on Intersec 2014 in the latest in SecurityNewsDesk’s series of interviews with the exhibitions leading participants.
How long has Traka been participating in Intersec and how have you seen the event grow and change over the years?
Traka has had a presence at Intersec for the last three years and participated with our network of local distributors in prior years. In that time we have seen a growth in attendance, especially in the security sector. As well as the growth in attendance, we have also seen the interest in new security technology grow, reflecting the increasing demand for more efficient, effective solutions as well as products that provide a return on investment.
How does Intersec contribute to the growth and development of the Security Sector?
As the demand for enhanced security in the Middle East grows, Intersec provides an ideal opportunity for the industry to discuss the developments and challenges it faces. At the exhibition, ideas, advice and knowledge can be shared between customers, integrators, manufacturers and industry leaders, helping to build a better understanding of the ever-evolving security sector.
What unique opportunities does Intersec offer Traka?
Intersec allows Traka to meet with key customers from many different areas of the world and areas within the security industry. Intersec provides an ideal opportunity to showcase our products for the Gulf markets and discuss the many solutions we provide.
What are you exhibiting at Intersec this year?
Traka will be showcasing a variety of solutions across our range of key management, intelligent lockers and access management systems. These solutions are unique and are able to protect assets and resources by integrating with the customer’s existing systems and processes.
What product that you are demonstrating in January are you most excited about?
We are most excited about promoting our integrations with access control manufacturers such as Lenel and Nedap. Traka has been certified as a Lenel partner and part of the Lenel Open Access Alliance Program (OAAP) for its Lenel OnGuard 2012 and OnGuard 2013 solutions. We are looking forward to discussing these partnerships as well as others with visitors, as these integrations are instrumental to the requirements of our customers
What are you most looking forward to at the 2014 event?
This will be the first year we will be exhibiting as part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, so we are looking forward to the increased opportunities to showcase our unique solutions at Intersec. In addition, Traka is seeing an increase in interest for our solutions in the Middle East, so we are looking forward to networking with new customers and showcasing our full range of products.
