Surviving Cybergeddon: securing against cyber attacks

2015 has seen many unprecedented cyber attacks such as the recent Talk Talk and Ashley Madison data breach earlier in the year. We have seen the sophistication and scale of attacks evolving throughout this year with no sign of stopping or slowing down.

Alarmists have cautioned 2016 as the beginning of international cyber warfare and inter country cyber espionage, forming the early stages of cybergeddon. Last month the Washington Post quoted Ted Koppel as saying that “when it comes to cyberwarfare and cyberterrorism, we need to think of the unthinkable”.

Protecting yourself completely against future cyber attacks is almost virtually impossible, as the area for possible attacks grows, so does the risk of cyber attacks on your company, employees or personal data. Staying ahead of the curve with regards to the latest advancements in ransomware, attacking trends and hacking technology has become not only wise but also necessary in order to increase your data protection.
