Held last night at the Grange City Hotel in the heart of London’s financial district and a stone’s throw from the Tower of London, the event attracted over 150 guests to help raise money for two security industry-related charities
I have just accepted an invitation to attend the first ever dinner of the Joint Security Associations Fundraising Event 2014. I’ll be joining ASIS UK on one of their tables but in addition to ASIS, there are four other associations involved in creating this worthwhile event: the International Professional Security Association, The Security Institute, ADS Group and the City of London Crime Prevention Association. Together these five membership groups are seeking to raise £40,000 for two charities: The St Giles Trust and PTSD Resolution.
ASIS International UK chapter’s Graham Bassett and Mike Hurst, Vice Chairmen, have been invited by ASIS International to join its European Advisory Council.
As the newly elected chairman of the UK chapter of ASIS, Andy Williams says he has inherited an organisation that is in good shape financially and organisationally, but that won’t stop him from trying to improve it still further.
