The Videx Klass 7’’ Video Intercom

The Videx Klass 7” video intercom combines design and advanced technology, offering features including smart thermostat capabilities, full-duplex communication, and seamless integration

The latest addition to Videx’s IPure system, the Klass 7” video intercom, represents a significant advancement in the field of door entry technology. It is a native TCP/IP system that is redefining the standards set by previous generations of door entry systems.

The name ‘Klass’ is derived from the combination of the terms ‘class’ and ‘glass’. The former alludes to the device’s minimalistic elegance, whereas the latter is a reference to its high-end design, which incorporates a front lens crafted from 3mm-thick genuine glass.

The uppercase “K” evokes the legacy of the Kristallo series, which constituted the previous generation of Videx high-end intercoms and video intercoms.

The Klass 7” is a unique product in its category due to its exceptional design and comprehensive range of technological capabilities. The user can operate the device, which is equipped with a powerful Linux-embedded architecture, by navigating a high-resolution 16:9 7’’ full-touch capacitive TFT display or by using the 8 fully programmable soft-touch buttons.

The device is capable of full-duplex hands-free operation and can be further expanded with the addition of an optional handset with magnetic cradle or a robust table stand.

The Videx Klass is the only device currently available on the market that features temperature and humidity sensors built-in, in addition to the two inputs and two outputs that are standard. This allows the device to be used as a full-fledged smart chrono thermostat that can be operated and configured through the cloud with the Videx free app.

Furthermore, the Klass incorporates ambient light and proximity sensors and is equipped with an RTSP front camera, which can be utilised for video-intercommunication between units or for CCTV purposes, thus making it a highly effective security device.

The Klass 7″ represents the pinnacle of the IPure system and, in alignment with the other devices in the range, is fully interoperable with third-party security systems and devices. This is due to its inherent compatibility with the most widely used protocols for system integration, including SIP for connection with VoIP telephone PBX systems, RTSP for integration with multiple IP CCTV camera streams (including PiP), and HTTP API for deep integration with any security software or BMS.

The device is equipped with standard Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality or can be powered locally. It can be networked with any standard switch or connected to the local network via WiFi.

It should be noted that each Klass 7″ includes an induction coil loop for hearing-impaired individuals as a standard feature.

The combination of all these attributes makes the Klass 7″ the most complete and advanced video intercom currently available on the market. It is the optimal choice for customers who prioritize design and technology.

Be Smart, Be Klass!
