Who’s Who – LILIN

LILIN, established in Taipei, is the market leading manufacturer of CCTV accessories and ONVIF cameras

Established in Taipei, Taiwan in 1980, Merit LILIN Limited began as a manufacturer of CCTV accessories, launching their own analogue range in 1989, before moving to IP in 2008. LILIN focused on innovation, achieving a number of “World’s Firsts’ and beginning a philosophy of agility, concentrating primarily on exceptional video image quality.

Introducing the World’s First ONVIF camera range shortly after ONVIF’s conception in 2009, we pushed for further technological advancement with the first 120FPS camera- one of many specialist products in the LILIN line-up. Following the company ethos of Creativity, Progress and Excellence, our flagship 4K NVR was the first in the world to provide full 4K recording across all 32 NVR channels.

Our focus on pursuing cutting edge technology is evidenced by the recent development of our own proprietary AI solution- AIDA. AIDA can be ‘taught’ by our engineers to identify any object or complete any action- and has already branched out from traditional security applications to cover areas including construction safety and railway monitoring. In early 2020, AIDA expanded to identify face masks in line with healthcare advice to help combat the spread of COVID-19.

Merit LILIN UK was established in Milton Keynes in 1999, intended to act as the European hub for the company providing stock, distribution and support. Our custom-built building includes a 24,000 square foot warehouse, allowing us to provide next-day delivery for mainland UK orders and consignments to Europe.

The dedicated demonstration facility provides an ideal location for client specification meetings and our fully equipped training room can be booked out for individual sessions with our product and sales managers. Our award-winning training course runs quarterly, and we have developed numerous project build tools and online guides that are available to all customers. Our technical department provides unrivalled support within the industry and a quick turnaround on our in-house product repairs, reflecting our commitment to excellence in customer service and experience.

LILIN’s large product range- including both hardware and software- and flexibility with customisation of solutions allows us to always meet our client’s requirements, with projects ranging in size from a single camera with SD card recording to multi-site VMS projects. Our close-knit international team, including a global OEM team, effectively collaborate to build a variety of personalised solutions. This can include customised firmware, re-skinned mobile apps and client branded products in specific colours or finishes.

With all product design and manufacturing conducted at our Taiwanese headquarters LILIN are proud to offer a range of NDAA compliant products, in resolutions from 1080P-4K.

LILIN advocate a strong cyber-security policy and have partnered with companies including Deloitte Taiwan to develop a rigorous testing process that continues throughout the products lifespan. These ongoing tests allow us to provide our customers with the comfort of knowing that their surveillance system is secure. Maintaining this security is a top priority for LILIN and we have implemented several cyber-security improvements across all product series to protect our existing clients.
