Winsted’s latest control room furniture at Emergency Services Show 2013

Winsted's EnVision control room furnitureLeading control room furniture manufacturer Winsted Europe & Middle East will be demonstrating its latest equipment line-up throughout the two-day Emergency Services Show at the NEC in Birmingham from 25-26 September 2013. The company is marking its 50th anniversary in 2013 and recently launched the EnVision and E-SOC ranges, which offer end users a variety of exciting operational benefits.

Winsted will be debuting its ground breaking EnVision next-generation console (pictured) at the Emergency Services Show. Built for today’s control room technology, EnVision’s radical new modular design blends form and function in an ergonomically optimised single, double or triple tier configuration. Whatever the format, operator sight lines and viewing angles are maximised, while staff remain comfortable and productive.

Meanwhile, Winsted’s new E-SOC control station combines the operational features of a workstation and console to offer advantages including flexibility and ergonomic design, helping to improve the performance of control room operators monitoring complex systems.

Winsted furniture is ideally suited to emergency services applications, with examples including a custom-built Sight-Line consule provided for Dyfed Powys Police HQ’s training simulation system in Carmarthen, Wales. This facility enables officers from the force to gain on-the-job training in a real-world environment that can be monitored in simulated conditions. The immersive training simulation system is based around a control room manned by operators who follow the reactions of officers situated in a number of separate, but linked training rooms. The control room operators observe and record how the officers cope in managing a range of simulated emergency situations that they’re presented with. The operators can also adapt the environmental conditions in the training rooms from this central facility, as the officers demonstrate their real-time leadership and decision-making skills during critical incidents.Winsted representatives will be on-hand throughout the Emergency Services Show to discuss customer-specific requirements and provide helpful information and advice on a range of control room-based issues. Winsted’s design services include illustrative walk-through animations demonstrating the multiple benefits of ergonomically designed, modular and ‘future-proof’ solutions such as consoles, media storage equipment and monitor walls.

Winsted’s flexible and engineered products including monitor walls, workstations and digital desks. The company’s modular furniture offers construction advantages enabling their configuration to be tailored specifically to meet precise operating requirements. The company’s comprehensive range of products and related accessories can be supplied from stock or customised and Winsted’s R&D programme benefits from continual input based on customer feedback.
