On 12 and 13 March 2019, Intersec Forum will put the focus of interest in the industry on topical aspects of connected security with around 30 expert lectures: the four main themes are ‘Fire protection: early detection and alarming’, ‘Cybersecurity: connectivity and new business models’, ‘Security in planning: BIM for building services and technical installations’ and ‘Semantic interoperability: platforms and protocols’.
The subjects of the Intersec Forum are closely linked with the challenges facing planners and installation contractors for building-services technology and security systems.
“Thus, as the annual conference for connected security technology, Intersec Forum complements ISH perfectly. The world’s leading trade fair not only offers conference participants a first-class overview of the sector but also gives ISH visitors an excellent opportunity to update their specialist knowledge”, says Wolfgang Marzin, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Messe Frankfurt.
“Security technology in buildings – whether commercial or private – is increasingly focusing on digitisation and connectivity,” says Uwe Bartmann, Chairman of the ZVEI Security Association and Head of the Building Technologies Division Germany at Siemens.
“Cybersecurity plays a central role here. The electrical industry sees itself not only as a supplier of technologies, but also as a competent partner for users and politicians. The Intersec Forum is an important platform for discussing framework conditions and innovations in building technology with planners, installers and other experts on all aspects of buildings.”
Intersec Forum will be held on the second and third days (Tuesday and Wednesday) of ISH in the immediate vicinity of exhibitors showing plant, room and building automation and energy management. There, visitors will find lecture and exhibition areas with partners from the fields of Building Information Modelling, building services and technical installations, the real-estate business and universities.
Günther Mertz, Chief Executive Officer of the German Association of the Building Services and Technical Installation Industry says, “The focus of Intersec Forum is on connecting security and building-services technology. Accordingly, it is a must for suppliers and planners in the field of building services and technical installations.”
The Intersec Forum programme will be published online in early January 2019. Participation is included in the price of the ISH admission ticket.
