Hikvision, the world’s leading supplier in state-of-the-art CCTV and IP video surveillance products, is thrilled to announce that its Ultra HD 4K Smart IR PTZ camera has received a New Product Showcase award. One of the highest accolades handed out by the Security Industry Association (SIA), this award recognises the camera as the top performer in the category of Video Surveillance Cameras HD (Megapixel).
Since 1979, the New Product Showcase has honored innovative products and solutions in the physical security industry. Technologies showcased through this program are used in the protection of life and property in a variety of settings and span several product and service categories. The awards are presented annually at the ISC West trade show in Las Vegas.
Hikvision’s winning entry, the Ultra HD 4K Smart IR PTZ (DS-2DF8836IV-AELW) provides an array of benefits including Ultra HD 4K image detail in real time (30fps), true WDR, 36x optical zoom lens, IP66 and IK10 protection ratings, and an IR range of 650 feet. VCA capabilities, Region of Interest (ROI) encoding, and Smart Tracking allow for more efficient video surveillance, making this camera as useful as it is cutting edge.
“Video surveillance categories are always very competitive at SIA’s New Product Showcase, particularly as video surveillance is such a large and significant part of the security industry,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “As such, Hikvision’s achievement in winning the Video Surveillance Cameras HD (Megapixel) Award at ISC West 2016 is a tremendous accomplishment. I congratulate Hikvision on their award and their impressive camera.”
Hikvision USA and Hikvision Canada president Jeffrey He commented on Hikvision’s expertise in high-end products and solutions. “This camera represents some of the finest work of Hikvision’s R&D team and demonstrates our ability to provide the high performing, innovative technology that is required for enterprise-level projects. The need for such products is great, and as Hikvision continues to grow in North America, and we rise to meet the requirements of the enterprise market.”
