SecurityNewsDesk TV: Report from IFSEC 2011 – Days one, two and three

Day 3 at IFSEC: Wednesday 18 May

The show got better and better for us. We spent most of Wednesday shooting longer videos on company stands (more about those next week) but managed to record some shorter snippets for today’s video release.

If you have trouble viewing the video above, you can try this page for Day 3 of IFSEC 2011.

Today we feature:

  • BT redcare’s Danny McInnes
  • Axis with Phil Doyle
  • Canon’s Julian Rutland
  • Silent Sentinel where we spoke to Paul Elsey
  • Arecont with Scott Schafer

Hope you enjoy viewing it. Apparently 2100 people have clicked in to view the video page in the past two days, demonstrating video’s ability to capture public interest.

If you haven’t seen it, you may also be interested in reading our competitive Website Shootout report. We showed it around IFSEC and had numerous requests for copies to download, so we’ve made it available here.

Thanks for reading – and watching! Don’t forget, more tomorrow.

Day 2 at IFSEC: Tuesday 17 May

Yesterday’s video got over 1000 page views and 77% of you watched to the end of the 1:38 minutes which is a terrific response rate. We’re glad you like it.

For today’s edition, we spoke to a number of people including:

  • Dedicated Micros – Mike Newton
  • Citysync – Steve Townsend
  • Gallagher Group – Sir William Gallagher
  • Assa Abloy – Chris Bone and Paul Morris (WOT Security Group)
  • Tyco – Eli Williams
  • Hope you enjoy.

Meanwhile, as promised, we have a winner from the competition draw from our first edition of SecurityNewsDesk TV.

The answer to the question: How many cameras is JVC launching was, of course, eight. And the winner is Mike Freeman at Nova Integrated Systems. Congratulations, Mike – the pen is in the post.

Come back tomorrow and Thursday for more IFSEC news.
