The purpose built and fully integrated control room will encompass the latest IP technologies including leading edge Video Management Software (VMS) and a Physical Security Information Management system (PSIM) to provide 24/7 surveillance and monitoring throughout Renfrewshire.
Boston Networks will begin the project by performing rigorous site surveys then upgrading and adding to the existing Public Space CCTV cameras across the Renfrewshire region. In addition, a new communications network will be designed for the dedicated transmission of high capacity data to integrate securely with the new control room, all of which applying truly state of the art technologies.
The second phase of the project will see Boston work with Renfrewshire to deliver an entirely cohesive security solution and 24/7 centralised monitoring facility. Boston Networks will define the migration and convergence of a number of other security and safety systems to be monitored within the new integrated control room facility.
Renfrewshire Council and its Community Safety partners will have the capacity to fully integrate a myriad of, currently proprietary, critical security systems including:
· Intruder Alarm & Detection
· Fire Alarm & Detection
· Electronic Access Control
· Intercom Door Release
· Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR)
· Building Management Systems (BMS)
· Lone Working Systems
To ensure the highest levels of security and service availability, Boston Networks will also provide a bespoke Maintenance and Support service, from its dedicated Network Operations Centre, based in Glasgow. The services will encompass defined service level agreements as well as continuous health checks, usage statistics and risk analysis.
