Following 15 successful years heading the UK’s leading fire, security and telecare certification body SSAIB, existing Chief Executive, Geoff Tate, is retiring at the end of 2014.
In preparation for this impending new chapter, the organisation has begun the recruitment process to find a successor who can lead SSAIB through the next phase of its development.
With such big shoes to fill there are several key elements the SSAIB are looking for in applicants, namely managerial experience at a senior level within the security industry, a thorough understanding of the regulations and Codes of Practice applying to the security industry, an understanding of the issues the industry faces, and an insight into how SSAIB might contribute to the sector’s success.
Also desirable is a knowledge of accreditation standards, particularly BS EN ISO 17021 and BS EN ISO 17065.
While Geoff Tate will be a hard man to replace, there is no doubt that the organisation will appoint the very best person for the role to ensure its continued standing as the industry’s leading certification body.
