Leading industry media have recognised the strengths of Milestone’s open platform IP video technology and community business model throughout 2016
Milestone Systems, the globally leading company in open platform IP video management software (VMS), has been recognized by many prominent industry media this year.
Critical city surveillance installations in Phoenix, Arizona, and Hartford, Connecticut, have been awarded for their successful achievements, and new Milestone software and NVR offerings have received awards for their high performance and value.

Phoenix Police Secure Tri-City Sporting Event
Secured Cities honors the most innovative, integrated deployments in the security industry and public safety sector. The mission of these awards is to showcase the best collaborative project efforts of security solutions providers, systems integrators and their end user clients. The Milestone installations in this region are especially noteworthy for a multi-agency ability to share video through a central Fusion Center, helping to manage the huge influx of crowds to the many high-profile national sporting events held here annually.
Municipal Video Surveillance Sector, Platinum Award:

Additionally, the City of Denver took top honors for their municipal video surveillance project, which included Axis Communications camera solutions and Milestone VMS.

Hartford Connecticut Police Real-time Crime Center
The SS&I Security Solution Awards have been established to distinguish those manufacturers and vendors whose electronic security solutions have been proven in the field to meet security, safety or other organizational needs for end users. Hartford police first used Milestone software to manage the city’s marathon crowds in 2015. Vulcan Technologies designed a mobile crime unit for this, and went on to install a full surveillance solution with widespread applications that are expanding with their changing needs over time.
