Join Axis at Intersec 2019 and experience secure intelligent solutions

It’s true, time flies faster when you’re having fun. Even more so when you’re engrossed in constant innovation and enjoying every breakthrough in that journey. The last year has been filled with many such highlights and we are excited to share those with you at Intersec 2019.

In 2018 we invited you to join us at Intersec and experience our solutions across retail and critical infrastructure. This year, we add another growing segment to the list – Smart Cities. So, what is new?

Rethinking revenue in retail

Every retailer wants to make profit and reduce loss. We understand that, and we are constantly adapting to the needs of the single store and omnichannel retailers to support their business requirements. We continue our commitment to reduce shrinkage in retail and help improve the entire business beyond safety, security and loss prevention to merchandising and store operations. We recently hosted our first Middle East Retail Leadership Forum to great success and see this as a positive sign to supporting the growing segment.

Securing Critical Infrastructure

This is an exciting time for the critical infrastructure industry as they show a growing and positive acceptance of IP based solutions and graduate from legacy analog systems. In Oil & Gas, organizations are in the process of re-designing the overall network video solution for their critical assets and are looking for open, robust and simple solutions which are easy to maintain. The benefits of IP based video solutions and the flexibility of working within an open platform has tremendous value within the critical infrastructure installations.

Smart Cities

Globally, governments are driving safe and smart cities, which is a big win for us. With an open, flexible platform, network cameras can act as intelligent sensors and bring concrete benefits to smart city projects. This approach can help provide valid and correlated information about the many different variables that make up day-to-day city life. Authorities can compare detailed, real-life data with recent data models, and decide on policies that will actually make a difference.

Cities’ needs will change and evolve over the years. With an open platform, network cameras can be used as intelligent sensors for existing use cases, but they will also be easy to scale and integrate into future solutions according to priority, resources and new technical possibilities. Once enabled, a smart city network is a reliable and cost-effective tool that provides real-time data on a number of city services such as police and emergency services, electricity, water, lighting, and traffic management.

GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation is probably one of the biggest news of 2018 in the security sector. It has helped organizations worldwide to relook at how they collect, store and process data to ensure the highest level of privacy. At Axis, we have always been committed to safeguarding an individual’s privacy. We are very committed to GDPR and are consistently working towards ensuring that our own business is fully compliant with the regulation.

We have so much to talk about. Which is why we look forward to welcoming you from 20 – 22 January 2019, at stand S1-J12, Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Hope to see you there!
