Security-solutions provider Oncam Global has announced a partnership with ClickIt Inc., which will deliver an innovative, market-leading security solution for the retail market.

“Oncam Global will enter into a product-development partnership with ClickIt, designing integrated solutions to provide increased situational awareness combined with real-time access to patterns of activity and business intelligence for the marketplace”

U.S.-based ClickIt currently provides a comprehensive range of video solutions designed for retail environments.

ClickIt’s Smart Analytics feature People Counting, Dwell Analysis, Smart Alerts and Smart Refund, providing its portfolio of retail clients with the platform to analyse key management and commercial/marketing performance data.

Oncam Global will now partner with ClickIt to deploy its award-winning Grandeye 360 degree imaging technology portfolio into an integrated management and security solution for the retail market place. In the first few months since this agreement has been in place, this innovative solution has been installed in more than 1,500 major retail outlets throughout the U.S. The combination of 360-degree visual surveillance and automated business analytics provides a market-focused, situational-awareness capability ideally suited to large-scale retail networks.

Oncam Global will use its patented Grandeye technology, as part of its strategy to take control of the 360-degree development market across multiple strategic sectors. The unique de-warping technology provides a previously unavailable ability to rapidly and accurately process quality 360-degree visuals without complicated moving camera parts and lengthy and expensive digital processing.

Jim Carey, CEO of ClickIT, said the deal with Oncam Global will be an initial five-year partnership agreement, aimed at delivering a solution that will give retail operators full-site situational awareness as well as the ability to readily access and measure key performance information.

He added: “The combined technology solution provides constant and complete security awareness, as well as providing the ability to easily access and measure key performance information, which is a perfect combination of our companies’ strengths.”

In addition to helping retailers monitor, control and secure their sites, “Oncam Global will enter into a product-development partnership with ClickIt, designing integrated solutions to provide increased situational awareness combined with real-time access to patterns of activity and business intelligence for the marketplace,” said Carey.

Firas Bashee, Chief Executive Officer of Oncam Global Group, said the partnership with ClickIt represents a key phase in its U.S. expansion strategy.

“The world of 360 is growing and our market-leading Grandeye technology has positioned us effectively to continue our leadership and exploit new growth opportunities across the marketplace,” he added.

“We are very excited about our product development partnership with ClickIt, which will give us key penetration in the U.S. market place as well as the platform to enter and expand into new target regions across the globe.

“We now very much look forward to deploying our leading product technology portfolio to develop an integrated solution that will deliver a paradigm shift in how retail operators monitor, control and secure their sites.”

The Oncam 360 degree cameras will be on display at ISC West in the Honeywell Booth #14023, and in the Video Insight Booth #22133. Oncam staff will be attending ISC West and available to answer questions and provide additional information regarding this important partnership. Additionally, Oncam will be featuring the Oncam and ClickIt partnered solution as the Title Sponsor of the upcoming Retail Fraud 2012 conference to be held in London on April 19th. The solution will also be featured in the ClickIt booth at the upcoming National Retail Federation Loss Prevention Conference June 20-22 in New Orleans, La.
