Antrica launch SpotBox4K camera decoder box at Intersec 2017

The ‘SpotBox4K’ is a revolutionary new product from Antrica that is designed to be a simple add on device to any existing or new CCTV system, and will be showcased at this years INTERSEC Dubai 2017 show.

The box is designed to be a simple IP camera viewing station solution and connects into the back of an existing monitor via a HDMI cable without the need for a PC.

This simple LOW COST product is supplied with a TV style EASY TO USE remote control. Meaning even the most non-technical person can use it, there is even has an auto-reboot feature which kicks in after a power cut.

You can program up to 16 IP ONVIF cameras, which you can then view in quad mode in full 1920 x 1080 resolution without loss in picture quality, on a 4K monitor. There are also other viewing options available allowing you to view in multiples up to 4 x 4 (with reduced resolution).

Resolution wise the box is cable of decoding streams in SD, HD, 4K & UHD, meaning it is both a versatile product but also future proof due to the UHD / 4K capabilities.

There are NEW features being released soon, ONVIF discovery, on board USB recording, along with 4K decode and viewing 1 x 1 , 2 x 2 , 3 x 3 and 4 x 4 IP cameras.

Les Litwin – Director of Antrica explains:

“The purpose of this product is to offer an alternative / add on to an NVR / VMS solution, as in some cases these solutions can be excessive, as viewing may be all that is required (e.g. reception desks / security viewing stations). Cost wise it also works out cheaper than going down the standard PC set up route, with the benefits of being much more simple to operate.”

Antrica are in pursuit of a UAE company to partner with to assist in the distribution of this product and other video over IP solutions in the UAE due to a strong demand in this emerging market. They will be available on stand CA-C46 at the upcoming INTERSEC show at the DWTC in January 2017.
