COP Security Announces New Nexus PoE NVR Range

Complimenting their new range of NEXUS IP camera products, professional trade only CCTV security products distributor COP Security, has announced the release of three new PoE NVRs.

Part of the NEXUS IP range, the new NVRs offer products suitable for easy installation by those familiar with IP and those new to the technology. The latest additions comprise the 4-channel IP-NVR04P, 8-channel IP-NVR08P, and the 16-channel IP-NVR16P.

Joining the existing range of COP NVRs, the new NEXUS PoE NVR range offers true ‘plug and play’ connectivity, saving installation time and cost, with the added benefit of less system ‘downtime’ for the end-user. By simply connecting a suitable IP camera to the unit via Cat5 cable, the installation is complete.

In addition, each NEXUS NVR also features on-board PoE (Power over Ethernet) designed to power static cameras up to 100m away, and is equipped with WD Purple hard drives for the ultimate in surveillance recording and evidential archiving. Offering up to 5Mp resolution and 200Mbps recording rate, the new range can form the backbone of any IP surveillance network.

As with all COP Nexus IP products, the new NVRs are ONVIF compliant (the open global standard for the interface of IP-based physical security products). This ensures simple integration into any existing IP camera system and easy installation when adding additional cameras to a new one.

Further simplifying installation, COP are offering a free remote set-up service as part of their comprehensive after-sales service, and each unit is supplied with both MAC and Windows software for hassle-free set-up across multiple platforms.

“The new Nexus IP range comprises everything required for an IP installation and the addition of the new NEXUS PoE NVRs offers installers and end-users even greater end-to-end system performance,” says Gareth Rhodes, COP’s Sales & Marketing Team Leader. “As with all COP products, the new NVR range is backed by our extensive warranty and support package.”

Details of the new Nexus NVR range can be found in the latest COP catalogue or by visiting cop-eu.com
