Intellio launches minidome camera

Intellio started off the new year with a new product launch. A specialist of large-scale video systems, the Hungarian company targeted a new segment with its latest product designed for the professional monitoring of small-area sites. The easy-to-install device for home use is housing all the capabilities of professional IP cameras developed for industrial-institutional purposes. Mini Protect is an advanced, single-camera system perfectly suited for the protection of homes, holiday houses, small stores and valuable objects.

Mini Protect is an advanced day/night, vandal-proof minidome camera equipped with IR-LED’s, which is suited for both indoor and outdoor locations. The large resolution, megapixel camera operates smoothly 24/7 and provides impeccable image quality in both day- and nighttime light conditions. Such are the features of the professional cameras used in large systems, too, now fitted into a ”mini”, home or small retail system. Besides all the benefits of a professional camera, Mini Protect offers the added benefit of simplicity. The camera is up and running right after installation with no other device needed. No extra software is required for its operation, since both the live video and the recorded footage can be viewed on the web interface of the camera. There is no need for a recording device to store the images, as the footage are stored on the SD card on-board the camera. MINI PROTECT is a platform-independent solution that runs smoothly under Windows, Mac OS and Linux environments with the JAVA software being the only requirement.

Monitoring and recording: all in one place
The live images and the recorded footage can be viewed via the web interface of the camera. All you need for this is a local area network and a computer. The system allows users to remotely monitor their home, holiday house and valuables, or to monitor the servers located in other parts of the building at the workplace. The live video and the recorded footage can be monitored remotely via the internet through the web interface of the camera. The live video and the recorded footage can be monitored remotely via the internet through the web interface of the camera. The easy-to-use, logical interface allows for adjusting the camera images and the SD card storage settings, and accessing the EPTZ function. The latter function is for zooming in on the – possibly distant – details of the images.

Storing images
Images are stored on the SD card on-board the camera, therefore no separate storage device is needed. Once the card is full, the old footage is overwritten to make space for the new footage. The only footage that are recorded are the ones containing motion, which results in a sparing use of the storage space and allows for storing a longer period of time. At the same time, trackback is simplified when the SD card is not filled with images of the empty yard or vacant living room. By virtue of the intelligent motion detector on-board the camera, outdoor surveillance is also sophisticated, with the motion and shadows of wind-blown tree branches and bushes being filtered out, which radically decreases the usage of storage space. In case of security events, the footage can be tracked back and easily exported via the web interface of the camera.
