Better buildings make workers happier and business processes more efficient*. At Intersec 2018, ASSA ABLOY is showcasing connected access control designed to protect these smart buildings of the future.
In Sheikh Saeed Hall 2, S1-B11, visitors can view innovative security solutions to help structures, systems and technologies truly integrate.
Wireless and sustainable
The Aperio® wireless access control technology is built on an open platform, to enable seamless integration with security and automated building management solutions from over 100 different OEMs. A new addition to the product range, the Aperio® H100 packs the power and flexibility of wireless electronic access control into a slim door handle. Like all Aperio® devices — cylinders, escutcheons, security locks, wall readers and more — the H100 is easy to retrofit to existing doors. Aperio® can make even the most basic building smarter and more energy efficient.
“Our showcase (Hall 2, S1-B11) includes live integration demos of Aperio® devices working with various third-party security systems,” says Karim AbuAmer, Access Control Manager at ASSA ABLOY Middle East. “We will also have Aperio® integrations up and running at our stand with Nedap and Maxxess, two of our key integrator partners.”
SMARTair™ is a standalone access control system for small and medium-sized businesses who want advanced access control without breaking the bank. The SMARTair™ Wireless Pro Online option comes with real-time monitoring and remote access rights management functionality. New for 2018, the SMARTair™ Openow smartphone app enables users to unlock protected doors via an encrypted Bluetooth connection.
To support sustainable design and construction, product-specific life-cycle audits of our SMARTair™ and Aperio® escutcheons, cylinders, wall readers and updaters — as well as the new H100 wireless handle — are also available. These independently-researched Environmental Product Declarations (or EPDs) detail the precise impact of SMARTair™ devices, enabling building owners, architects and contractors to receive credits towards higher green building ratings in schemes including LEED and BREEAM.
Security for smarter critical infrastructure
Also showcased at Intersec 2018, CLIQ® is a key-based electronic access control ecosystem with many applications — from securing the world’s most sensitive locations, including utilities and critical infrastructure sites, to small offices.
Abloy’s Protec2 CLIQ® system combines the class-leading mechanical security of Protec2 cylinders with the convenience and features of electronic access control. The award-winning* CLIQ® Connect app enables mobile workers or contractors to keep their access permissions up-to-date in real time with just a CLIQ® Connect key and a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone. Access rights with very short validity become much easier to administer, making it even less likely a lost key would pose a security threat. And this is not the only way CLIQ® connects people and technology. CLIQ®’s powerful admin software allows smart collaboration on a global scale. System management is easy across time-zones, in multiple languages and for multiple authorised administrators at the same time.
Smart access management for small businesses
At Intersec 2018, ASSA ABLOY also showcase IKON’s CLIQ® Go connected cloud solution.
With the new CLIQ® Go app, businesses can unlock the power of access control, saving time and unnecessary workload in the process. The CLIQ® Go locking system allows users to manage security and access rights on the move, on the road, and from anywhere in the world.
Smart homes start with a smart door
As Connected Living becomes more widespread, analyst projections show the smart home device market growing 2012–2020 at a similar speed to smartphones and the Internet of Things. Telecoms giants, smart home specialists, holiday rentals agents, care and security service providers have already developed their businesses with connected smart door locks.
At Intersec 2018, FIBARO, a global leader in Z-Wave smart home solutions, is showcasing integrated smart lock solutions with Yale devices, including the ENTR®, Digital Monoblok and Yale Keyless products.
“In the residential sector, Yale has the widest range of Smart Door Locks on the global market, notably locks which fit door profiles in the Middle East Market,” adds Ahmet Astal, Vice President Yale Middle East.
