Meyertech Limited, as sub-contractor to Scottish Communications, has delivered its largest ever Scottish project following the award of a contract by the Grampian Police Authority to replace its ageing CCTV system.
Meyertech’s ability to unify legacy equipment from different manufacturers was a key factor in the award of the contract to Scottish Communications.
The project involved the replacement of the current CCTV management system and, due to budget constraints, the integration of a large proportion of the existing disparate equipment. Meyertech also provided configuration and commissioning services as well as on-site user training to the Grampian Police.
The delivered solution incorporates FUSION-Core-Solar Video Management Software (VMS) which unifies disparate system elements including cameras and digital recording systems into a simple to operate Graphical User Interface (GUI) combining GIS mapping with advanced functionality. ZoneVu appliances are utilised throughout the system implementation to integrate legacy devices. Together Meyertech Limited and Scottish Communications have delivered to Grampian Police a flexible IP solution, which is ONVIF conformant and IP future-proofed.
