PureTech celebrates several top honours in GSN’s 2013 Border Security Awards

PureTech-SystemsPureTech Systems has won a number of top honours in Government Security News (GSN)’s Border Security Awards competition.

The annual award competition is aligned with the Border Security Expo, which occurred March 12-13, 2013 in Phoenix, Ariz.  The awards program was created to recognize and salute companies that produce the most innovative and technologically advanced products and solutions used in border security.

PureTech’s solution, PureActiv, was the Platinum Winner in “Best Border Security Video Surveillance Solution,” Platinum Co-Winner in “Best Integrated Perimeter Protection Systems,” and Gold Winner in “Best Wide Area Video Surveillance.”

PureTech Systems specializes in video analytic algorithms and the use of geospatial solutions for security applications.  This unique combination allows it to easily integrate with other geospatial border sensors, like radar, GPS and intelligent fences.  It also allows for smarter video detection algorithms by utilizing real size, real location and real speed in the analysis.  PureActiv’s PTZ Auto Follow, long range video detection and map-based user interface round out the value proposition, making it a very efficient detection sensor and command and control platform for border type applications.

“We are honored to have the PureActiv software recognized by GSN’s border security awards program,” stated Larry Bowe, president of PureTech Systems.

“The ability of the product to perform well in multiple award categories aligns with our goal to create a versatile security solution for border customers and provide them a full range of capabilities including detection, integration and situational awareness.  Border applications can prove to be difficult problems to address, due to the complexity of the scenarios and the harshness of the environments, but this is one of the areas where we excel and are excited to continue to provide solutions to address the needs of border security.
