Retail risk and loss prevention conference heads for Singapore
Coming to Singapore for its first year, Retail Risk – Singapore, sponsored by Cybersource, an eCommerce Payment Management Company, is the only LP conference that brings together online and offline, inter-departmental decision makers and leading experts and academics from around the world.
This year’s conference features a host of international LP talent, some drawn from the region and others flown in from other major retail hubs around the world specifically to share their experiences of emerging threats and how they are being dealt with successfully.
The conference also includes exclusive material based on the biggest global research project undertaken in the retail loss prevention space, with 200 top retailers sharing what challenges they are facing, where they consider the biggest threats are coming from and what they intend to do about it; material that is huge significance to all major retail hubs such as Australia and cannot be obtained anywhere else.
Founder Paul Bessant said:
“In Singapore, as elsewhere, retailers are working together to make sure that they stay ahead of the criminals, protecting their businesses and their customers. And this is essential as thousands of organised crime gangs around the world daily make attempts to defraud retailers and their customers out of millions of dollars.
No retailer can simply go it alone in fighting international crime. Our conference is designed to provide a unique platform for the exchange of ideas, to inspire LP executives and to help them beat the bad guys.”
Chew Ann Wee, Senior Regional Director, Southeast Asia, CyberSource, sponsors of Retail Risk – Singapore said:
“We are happy to be part of the inaugural Retail Risk – Singapore conference; an event that is very much in line with our mission to combat online fraud and protect our customers’ eCommerce businesses. With online retail sales continuously growing in Singapore and Southeast Asia, efforts to address online retail fraud will be more effective when done collectively. Bringing relevant stakeholders together facilitates an industry-led knowledge platform, which helps retailers and merchants alike build a more holistic ‘protect and defend’ strategy to stay ahead of fraudsters, while building overall trust in online payments.”
The Retail Risk – Singapore conference takes place at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel on 8th of April 2016. The entire day is free to retailers, academics and law enforcement personnel including all presentations, workshops, refreshments and an excellent, hot lunch.
