Securi-Guard Fire and Security have appointed experienced security professional Jim Hansford as business development manager in the company’s fire and security division.
Hansford brings a wealth of experience in both the sales and installation of fire and security systems after spending 24 years in the security business.
In his new role at Securi-Guard, Hansford will primarily develop new business among electrical contractors, architects and consultants – identified as key target areas for development.
Hansford,41, also sees a major part of his role as promoting awareness of the many benefits and services that a local, independent company like Plymouth-based Securi-Guard can offer.
He believes passionately in the values of professionalism and delivering the very best in customer service, part of the reason he was attracted to working for Securi-Guard – a family business and the largest independent fire and security solutions provider in the South West.

Prior to his new role, Jim spent almost ten years as a Fire Systems Consultant with ADT Fire and Security, covering Devon and Cornwall, so he has an extensive knowledge of Securi-Guard’s core area.
He has also worked for a number of other security firms as an installation and service engineer and has completed a number of industry specific training programmes related to health and safety assessments and fire detection and design.
