Security Institute reveals details of 2013 Annual Conference and Exhibition

security-institute-logoThe Security Institute has confirmed the expert speakers that will appear at its Annual Conference and Exhibition at The Marriott Regents Park Hotel in London on 19 June .

The event is designed to address key issues facing security professionals and focuses on three key areas, leadership and management, cyber security and emerging trends. Each of the modules will end with a panel question-and-answer session.

A keynote address from Baroness Pauline Neville-Jones, the former BBC governor and chairman of the British Joint Intelligence Committee, will open the conference.

Keith Bloodworth from CNL Software, Graham Smith of Influencing Skills and Patrick Mercer MP are then confirmed to speak during the leadership and management module.

The cyber security section will feature Alex Moore of the National Cyber Security Programme, Mike Gillespie of Advent IM and the Earl of Erroll. The trio will discuss government strategy, identifying vulnerabilities, and managing and addressing cyber threats.

Finally, Bob Randall of Associated British Foods, Allison Wylde of London Metropolitan University Business School and Nigel Carpenter of AMEC will form the emerging trends module and debate topics including protecting the food supply chain, flood risks and protecting utilities.

Delegates are then invited to an informal networking dinner at the Marriot Regents Park Hotel to meet with the speakers and discuss the topics of the day.
