Allegion’s brand SimonsVoss MobileKey launches in the UK

Allegion’s brand SimonsVoss Technologies has launched a new keyless locking system named MobileKey in the UK.

MobileKey is an impressive upgrade on the traditional master key system and provides state-of-the-art technology for access control in buildings. The traditional key and cylinder is replaced with a digital transponder, PIN code keypad or a smartphone app and an electronic cylinder.

Although the technology is high level, the locking is simple, allowing building users to move around easily, and those responsible for buildings to monitor and manage access control. It’s suitable for use for all small- to medium-sized buildings with up to 20 doors and 100 users.

The MobileKey system is easy to install as it requires no wires and no drilling, causing minimal disruption. Simply replace the mechanical cylinder with the digital one. You can install it in just a few minutes.

Ludger Voss, chief technology officer at SimonsVoss, commented:

“Electronic remote control keys for cars has become standard practice – so why not apply this principle to buildings? The SimonsVoss MobileKey seems like a big change from the traditional systems but it’s in fact just an exceptional technological upgrade.

“The system offers maximum security, and users’ data is safely looked after in a secure server in Munich, Germany. Above all, the MobileKey is an affordable, convenient and easy-to-install-and-use system. It’s already the future of locking.”

Allegion’s brands include Briton, CISA and SimonsVoss, its products are used throughout healthcare, education, hospitality, leisure, transport and residential sectors, keeping people safe and secure where they work, rest and visit.
