Smart parking enhanced by launch of Nedap’s next generation of SENSIT products

Smart parking has been enhanced by the launch of a new range of innovative products that will contribute to their new Smart parking platform, SENSIT.

Nedap, a global leader in parking detection technology, have released a smart parking sensor, parking guidance app and gateway, which will add to the optimisation of traffic flows and parking guidance in city centers and retail environments all across the globe.

The SENSIT IR Flush Mount sensor combines both infrared and magnetic field detection technology into a compact design. It is installed into the road surface, making it resilient to snow ploughs and avoiding tripping hazards. The SENSIT IR FlushMount, moreover, detects the occupancy of individual parking spaces in real-time. The obtained parking data enables smart parking in any Smart City, ITS or retail environment.

In addition, the SENSIT P-Guide App (available for both iOS and Android) provides cities, municipalities and companies and motorists with real-time parking information, supporting motorists in locating available parking spaces.

Edwin Siemerink, SENSIT Proposition Manager at Nedap, said:

“We are very proud to launch this new generation of SENSIT sensors. Our products have proven to be the reliable and durable parking detection solution for years in applications all over the world. With the addition of the SENSIT IR Flush Mount, Nedap responds to the growing demand for highly accurate sensors that are mounted fully flush into the road surface.”

Nedap Identification Systems is the leading specialist in systems for long-range identification, wireless vehicle detection and city access control. Readers, sensors and controllers optimise, monitor and control the movement of vehicles and people. Safe, secure and efficient.
