Digi International’s new brand identity

Digi International’s new brand identity

Company celebrates milestone as leader in M2M and IoT by unveiling brand that celebrates history of achievement while modernizing identity for the future

Digi International®, (NASDAQ: DGII), a leading global provider of mission-critical machine-to-machine (M2M) and IoT connectivity products and services, is celebrating its 30th year in business with the launch of a new brand identity and look and feel to its corporate logo.

Since its founding in 1985, the company has been at the forefront of the IoT industry, from creating serial port boards that would allow more than one person to connect to a single PC, to the current era of the Internet of Things (IoT). Throughout each phase of technological advancement, Digi has served as an agent of change, helping companies leverage data, processing power and both wired and wireless networking for operational and competitive advantage in commercial and industrial settings.

Future Looking While Appreciating the Past

“Over the course of three decades, Digi has become known for delivering relentless reliability, scalability, security and bulletproof performance, providing companies with mission-critical machine connectivity,”

said Jeff Liebl, vice president and chief marketing officer, Digi International.

“Our new brand identity and logo convey our passion and commitment to addressing new markets and opportunities in what we’re calling the Internet of Getting Things Done. Our branding provides a crisper illustration of the new energy and innovation we’re bringing to the marketplace.”

Decades of Leadership Solving Mission-Critical Machine Communications Challenges
Digi occupies a leadership position in a multibillion dollar market with enormous growth potential. Machina Research, a leading firm focused on the M2M and Internet-of-Things (IoT) marketplaces, projects that the global M2M market will grow to 27 billion devices and generate $1.6 trillion in revenue by 2024. Digi has built itself into a worldwide presence and industry leader in a number of areas:

Passion for Innovation: Digi introduces market-changing technologies and has 111 patents issued and dozens more pending. In 2015, Digi was part of a NASA mission that explored the application of wireless solutions in sub-orbital space.

Connect with Confidence: Digi is a trusted leader in M2M communications, serving more than 50,000 customers in more than 100 countries across numerous industries, including energy, government, medical, industrial, retail and transportation.

Purpose-driven, Bulletproof Scalability: Digi has connected more than 100 million devices, including deployments in thousands of solar panels, gaming kiosks and ATMs as well as in sophisticated medical and industrial devices.

Worldwide Presence: Digi maintains 15 offices with more than 500 employees worldwide throughout North America, Europe and Asia, and boasts more than 250 reseller/distributor partners.

The new Digi logo is based on precision, technology and connection. It breaks out the Digi name from the enclosing green rectangle of the previous logo, visually setting the name free from boundaries. The green triangle, an evolution of the historical green rectangle, is a signature element of the Digi design system. The “up and out” direction represents forward movement, while the brighter green of the triangle reflects modern technology and thinking.
