George Barnsdale & Sons renews SBD membership

George Barnsdale and Sons have renewed their membership with Secured by Design, the official police security initiative.

Established in 1884, George Barnsdale is a family-run business manufacturing high-performance timber windows and doors in Donington, Lincolnshire. The company offers a nationwide project management and installation service, working on a wide variety of buildings and project types.

George Barnsdale prides itself on the reputation they have built with their products designed to meet the highest standards in terms of weather resistance, security, thermal and acoustic insulation, while still showcasing appealing aesthetic designs. The company approach is to devise practical solutions to fit customer requirements, collaborating with clients to provide a bespoke service for unique design constraints.

The product selection at George Barnsdale features a number of Secured by Design accredited doorset and window ranges, all of which can be customised according to customer need, featuring multi-point locking and secure hardware.

Tom Wright, MD, George Barnsdale, said: “Our products are designed for ultimate security performance, which we manage to achieve without spoiling the aesthetic of the design so our products look as great as they perform.”

Doug Skins, Secured by Design, commented: “I’m really pleased that George Barnsdale and Sons have renewed their membership with Secured by Design. They have a range of doorsets and windows which have achieved Police Preferred Specification, and it has been a pleasure working with them so far. I look forward to our continued working relationship over the coming years.”
