Kelvin Hughes Control Room scenario at Security & Policing 2015

Kelvin Hughes, a world leader in the design and manufacture of surveillance, security and navigation systems, demonstrated the versatility and scalability of its industry-leading technology from two separate locations at this year’s Home Office Security & Policing event.

Based in the Vehicle and Demonstration Area (X25) a Kelvin Hughes Integrated Surveillance Vehicle containing several monitors displaying radar and camera information. Radar and E/O information was fed back, via a digital link to the company’s main exhibition stand (B47) displaying a mobile surveillance platform and a command and control room scenario.

At the heart of Kelvin Hughes’ integrated situational awareness systems lies its innovative SharpEye™ solid state X-band radar. This primary sensor is paired with the latest multi-role camera units and controlled by CxEye™ our latest intuitive display and interface software. This Single Mast Solution can provide situational awareness for critical infrastructure, airfield perimeters, ports and borders through early detection, recognition, identification and classification.

Security & Policing is an important event for the company, offering the opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of its systems to UK Government representatives with specific operational requirements. Since its inception over 30 years ago, the exhibition has grown to become an essential platform for professionals from the UK and across the world to engage with those with ultimate responsibility for setting and meeting the country’s national security priorities.

Kelvin Hughes’ Chief Executive, Russell Gould, commented saying, “We’ve been very much looking forward to Security & Policing 2015. Being able to create a live control room scenario will undoubtedly help us to demonstrate how our integrated radars, cameras and display software can deliver the situational awareness necessary for protecting almost any environment”.
