Securi-Guard Fire and Security has become the first security provider in the South West to join the esteemed Country Land and Business Association (CLA), an organisation which is dedicated to supporting the rural community.

Membership will mean that Securi-Guard, which serves a large number of rural and agricultural clients in the Westcountry, will be able to further develop its links with the rural economy.

Country Land and Business Association is a membership organisation for owners of land, property and businesses in rural England and Wales and is the only body working to influence Government solely on behalf of this group.

The CLA helps businesses with expert knowledge and advice, business support, regional events and the sharing of ideas through a national network. Importantly, it also campaigns on behalf of its members at a local, national and European level to encourage the growth of a prosperous and sustainable rural economy.

Securi-Guard, the South West’s largest independent supplier of fire and security solutions, says that their CLA membership will reinforce the company’s commitment to working with land-owners and the rural community in the region.

The CLA’s South West branch commented: “The CLA is delighted to welcome Securi-Guard on board and we are looking forward to working with them in the future.”

Agriculture is an important part of the economy in many areas of the South West. Securi-Guard says that over the last few years, rural businesses across Devon and Cornwall are becoming increasingly concerned with security and ensuring that their assets are properly protected.

Isolated properties and farm buildings are increasingly at risk of becoming victims of theft and the police are regularly advising that agricultural machinery and storage facilities for heating oil are as secure as possible.

For many such companies, Securi-Guard plays an important role in helping to address these concerns. Their comprehensive security systems and services are vital tools in protecting the assets of rural businesses and aiding communities in tackling this form of crime.

With agricultural machinery and vehicles often being stolen to order and taken to Europe, the company’s Securi-Track service simplifies the incident management process and can assist in its recovery, removing the communication barriers normally associated when dealing with foreign police forces.

A number of external alarm systems have been developed to offer protection to external heating oil storage tanks and external buildings. There are also systems for perimeter detection in gardens and to combat the theft of copper and lead from roofs or external warehouses.

Mark Tapper, business development manager atSecuri-Guard, says that the company, which has over 30 years’ of experience in the security sector, is looking forward to engaging further with the rural community through CLA membership.

“Securi-Guard is delighted to have recently become a part of the CLA and the fact that we are the first security business in the South West to do so really strengthens our position as the leading fire and security specialist in the region.

“Our membership is good news for the many rural businesses we provide security services for as through it, we will be able to access a wealth of experience and expertise on rural issues. We can utilise this to develop our engagement and support of rural businesses and their communities.”
