SmartTask chosen for advanced proof of attendance, control room management and staff rostering

Integrity Security Group has selected SmartTask for the provision of advanced proof of attendance, control room management and staff rostering solution. The employee scheduling and mobile workforce management software will initially be used across 150 officers within the company’s manned guarding team, before being rolled across its wider security services operation.
SmartTask will replace an outdated time and attendance system, enabling Integrity to effectively monitor the whereabouts and welfare of staff as part of its commitment to lone worker protection. The security officers will now book on and off of shifts or register hourly check calls using the MySmartTask app or by dialling into call taking software from a designated phone number. In addition, key holding, alarm response and mobile patrol officers will soon be able to scan a RFID tag located at each customer location using a SmartTask-enabled smartphone to register attendance.
Integrity will use SmartTask’s intelligent rostering functionality to streamline internal planning processes, with the aim of reducing the administration associated with preparing work schedules. Rosters will be sent automatically to MySmartTask or a preferred email address, so staff can quickly confirm availability at the click of a button. SmartTask will also be integrated with the company’s back-office accounting system, so accurate working hours can be automatically transferred to simplify payroll and invoicing.
Moving forward, SmartTask will also support the launch of a dedicated, out-of-hours control room operation. Integrity will use the software’s interactive dashboard to provide a live view of all scheduled shifts and expected or missed check calls. This at-a-glance visibility, with real-time updates and automatic refresh, will enable office-based controllers to track the attendance and status of vulnerable static and mobile personnel, ensuring high levels lone worker protection and quality service delivery.

James Chittil, General Manager at Integrity Security Group, commented: “SmartTask is so simple to use while providing impressive functionality that is helping us better manage and protect our staff. The team at SmartTask has been incredibly helpful and responsive, which means we have been able to create a workforce management solution that is tailored to our precise needs and easily scalable to meet our future requirements.”

Paul Ridden, CEO of SmartTask said: “We are working closely with a growing number of security businesses to not only support their immediate requirements, but also develop new functionality that will help overcome other current and future challenges. It has been designed by industry experts to encapsulate security best practice, making it the ideal tool to improve operational control, enhance customer satisfaction, and support duty of care to staff.”

Integrity Security Group, which is course to deliver £3.5m annual sales in 2017, provides services ranging from manned guarding, mobile patrols, key holding and alarm response to temporary guarding, facilities and strategic consultancy. The company holds a number of industry accreditations, including Safe Contractor, CHAS, Principal Member Status of the British Security Industry Association and SIA Approved Contractor Status. In addition, it is also ISO9001 and ISO14001 accredited, with an impressive track record of zero major or minor non-conformances for the past seven years.
