Winsted goes to new heights with control room console

Leading control room furniture manufacturer Winsted Europe & Middle East has unveiled its brand new IMPULSE control room console, designed and constructed specifically for today’s control room technology.

The innovative IMPULSE console takes performance and comfort to new heights featuring two surfaces that adjust in height independently of each other at the touch of a button. Aesthetically designed in a contouring curve, the consoles work surfaces can be adjusted from 30” to 46” in height allowing users to easily vary posture and alternate between a sitting and standing position.

As standard the IMPULSE console features a laminated work surfaces with Winsted’s proprietary Safeguard Edge. For added versatility, all IMPULSE consoles come complete with the company’s innovative Versa-Trak monitor mounting system. Consoles can be used as stand-alone workstations, or combined to create a custom configuration.

Terry Shough, General Manager of Winsted Europe & Middle East enthused:

“The new Impulse offers a highly adaptable solution to demanding control and edit applications,” he continues “The innovative design is an effective solution for reducing the risks associated with prolonged sitting. Operators can instantaneously sit or stand as they choose while remaining effectively engaged with the demands of the task in hand.”

The new console offers further advantages as well as a flexible modular and ergonomic design, a range of accessories including monitor mounts and CPU holders are available to customise any workspace.

Since its inception in 1963, Winsted has consistently pioneered console design and development. The company’s product concept and design is driven by industry needs and demands, with many equipped ideas suggested by customers and developed with their input.

A dominant force in the U.S market for nearly 50 years, Winsted expanded into overseas territories in 1975, primarily in the UK, and in 1976 began concentrated efforts to establish distribution in the Middle East.
