Integration of VidSys’ PSIM software and Valor Systems’ ValorCAD enables more effective dispatch of safety and security officials via real-time information sharing
VidSys, the leading provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software that allows organizations to resolve business and security situations in real time, announced its technology partnership with Valor Systems, provider of innovative Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software used throughout North America. As a result, VidSys will integrate its VidSys PSIM software system with Valor Systems’ computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system, ValorCAD, to enable more effective emergency and security responses through the immediate sharing of real-time information among dispatchers, and safety and security personnel.
“Situational awareness during emergencies is critical for the safety and security officials who are dispatched to respond to a situation as it’s unfolding,” said William Rendina, President and CEO, Valor Systems. “By integrating ValorCAD with the VidSys PSIM software, we are providing corporate organizations and public safety officials with robust, real-time information that enables them to reduce risk on all emergency dispatches, and improve the speed at which a situation is resolved.”
The ValorCAD system seamlessly integrates with the VidSys PSIM software to present a complete view of the scene that is critical for the effective collaboration among safety and security officials to manage a situation from its inception through to its resolution. In addition to typical dispatch activities, ValorCAD performs a database check to locate information that allows all precautionary measures to be taken, enabling respondents to be made aware of outstanding warrants, medical history, previous incidents or hazardous materials on site before arriving on the scene. This, combined with the VidSys PSIM software, which integrates devices, systems and data including video, voice, alarms, maps and floor plans, from within an organization as well as multiple agencies in real time, enables operators to provide officials with more accurate information as they are dispatched to the scene.
“As emergency situations unfold, dispatchers play a crucial role in guiding safety and security officials as they approach the scene. The more information and detail that mobile field personnel are armed with, the more effectively and safely they can manage the unfolding situation,” said Dave Fowler, Senior Vice President of VidSys. “Through our partnership with Valor Systems, officials will have access to important situational information and video in real-time to safely respond to and resolve unfolding situations.”
