Security Buyer Awards 2024 Winners Unveiled

In an exciting virtual ceremony held as part of Security Buyer Live on the 15th and 16th of May, the much-anticipated Security Buyer Awards 2024 were announced today. Hosted by Rebecca Spayne, Managing Editor of Security Buyer, the awards ceremony recognised outstanding contributions and achievements in the international security industry. A Virtual Gathering of Industry Innovators This year’s Security Buyer Awards embraced a digital format, bringing together professionals from across the world in a virtual space designed to celebrate excellence and innovation. The two-day event culminated in today’s lunchtime awards presentation, allowing attendees to connect, share, and celebrate from the comfort of their own offices or homes. Spotlight on Winners The awards highlighted exceptional individuals and companies who have made significant impacts in various categories: Satia Rai was named Woman of the Year, celebrated for her leadership, mentorship and inclusivity. Kirsty Thomas, NEOS Protect, was recognised as Installer of the Year, was praised for their ingenuity and admirable energy. HID, Employee Badge in Apple Wallet, received the Innovation of the Year award for pioneering solutions relevant for the next-generation. Mike Hurst earned the accolade of ‘Lifetime Achievement’ showcasing their commitment to leadership, mentorship and innovation. Get Licensed, GuardPass App was honoured with the Software of the Year award for their exceptional dedication to the industry. International Foundation For Protection Officers UK (IFPO) took home the Association of the Year award, demonstrating outstanding collaboration, support and performance for members. Company of the Year award was presented to Paxton Access, who has quickly distinguished themselves as sustainable pioneers who’s dedication to local community shone through. HID, Seos® Bamboo Eco Credential, was awarded the Product of the Year award, celebrated for their sustainable product that highlighted the companies corporate social responsibility. Host and Sponsor Highlights Rebecca Spayne, serving as both host and Head Judge, brought her deep industry knowledge and enthusiasm to the forefront, ensuring a smooth and engaging presentation. Rebecca was joined by an external panel of 15 esteemed judges who offered their expertise in the judging process to ensure the right submission was honoured. Judges’ Insights The panel of judges, including prominent figures such as Christina Alexander the ISRM Mediterranean Chapter and ASIS European Regional Board of Directors, Leo Levit the Chairman of ONVIF, Nicholas Reed the Director of the UK Security Commonwealth, Pauline Norstrom the CEO of Anekanta AI and AI Board Adviser for SIA and so many more, provided insights into the selection process. “The calibre of this year’s nominees was exceptionally high, making our decisions challenging but ultimately rewarding,” remarked Simon Legrand, SBA judge and Co-Founder of Sunstone Systems. Suntory joins IFPO and Corporate Member

The International Foundation of Protection Officers UK & I (IFPO UK & Ireland) is delighted to welcome Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I (SBF GB&I) as a corporate member. SBF GB&I is the maker of iconic soft drink brands including Lucozade, Ribena and Orangina and employs over 600 staff across sites in London; Coleford, Gloucestershire and Dublin.
