Kings Security has enabled its monitoring centre to use the Facewatch crime reporting and communications system to improve its customer offering.
The Yorkshire-based commercial security systems provider has become the first of its kind to offer the Facewatch systems via its control room on behalf of business partners.
Kings will operate the Facewatch system – a police-approved online image sharing and online reporting scheme – at its NSI Gold approved alarm receiving centre and remote video receiving centre.
It will allow online and real-time reporting of incidents directly to the police, including CCTV footage and still images, to save time and effort for its business partners as part of Kings’ integrated monitoring and reporting service.
Anthony King, Managing Director for Kings Security Systems, said the new technology will help ensure the firm provides the “very best service” to customers and the “high quality evidence to the police”.
“The Facewatch system has been proven to provide an additional deterrent to low level criminal activity and to help the police follow up and convict more criminals,” he added.
“I believe this is an important step in making the use of CCTV more effective and professional.
“Facewatch’s network, combined with a cloud based CCTV offering, will enable previously unconnected CCTV systems dotted around business premises around the UK to be networked and managed by professionals rather than by thousands of individuals with varying levels of experience in using CCTV for evidential purposes.”
