Atlas Security celebrates first year of business

Atlas Security, a privately-owned and purpose-led security services company, is celebrating a successful year of business in which it has grown by over 120% in its first year. This growth includes several landmark Central London properties with global blue-chip organisations, firmly establishing the organisation at the front of its market.

The company’s focus has continued as a people-orientated business with a committed ambition to redefine how security services are experienced and relied upon. The prioritisation of both employee and client happiness has been key to securing successful contracts with notable clients in property management, legal, leisure and hospitality sectors.

In Q1 2022, Atlas was accredited as a Living Wage Foundation Recognised Service Provider, alongside providing an employee benefits package made up of private healthcare, life insurance, corporate sick pay, a virtual GP, and a wellbeing app which includes retail discounts. More recently, and in further support of its employees, Atlas has been working with Totara to develop an award-winning, open-source learning platform. It is designed to aid security officers in an interactive way to support their personal and professional development.

In terms of external recognition, Atlas’ Hasan Afzal brought home the trophy for Outstanding Security Officer of the Year at the OSPAs. The company was also shortlisted for the Start-up Company of the Year at the 2022 Security & Fire Excellence Awards.

Gary Stanton, Managing Director at Atlas Security, says he is thrilled with Atlas’ success within its first year of trading: “Winning such prestigious contracts both in the City of London and regionally, is an achievement we are proud of, and puts us on an excellent footing for the years ahead.

“Our pipeline of new contracts, a new people strategy and further emphasis on our culture of creating happiness are all promising for the business and what is to come for 2023.”
