Global MSC Security Conference and Exhibition returns for 2016

Situated in the heart of the city and right on the historic waterfront, the hotel is the perfect venue to host the event. This year the theme is Advances in Security in the Digital Age and on Tuesday the topics will discuss how technology will enhance the security landscape and how you can maximise emerging trends in your sector.

We are pleased that Tony Porter, National Surveillance Camera Commissioner will be joining us again. This year he will be talking about the new National Surveillance Camera Strategy, which is currently being developed.

Other topics include:

• How super-recognisers are used in the policing and the security arena
• The use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s), how they can be utilised in a security environment and counter measures against flying illegally
• The application, training and use of Body Worn Video in local authority – from pilot to roll out and beyond
• The use of Facial Recognition in combatting crime and the increasing need for Cyber Security
• The use of CCTV to combat terrorism in all its guises

The day will be rounded off with a Q&A panel where we will be joined by Renate Samson, CEO, Big Brother Watch who will be joined by other eminent panellists from the days’ presentations, including Tony Porter the SCC.

If your company specialises in one of the seminar topics, have you considered taking an exhibition space or one of the sponsorship opportunities? Sponsorship starts from £3,500 and range up to £10,000; exhibition stands are £600 for one-day and £1,100 for a residential package which includes the gala dinner. So there are options for all budgets and marketing objectives.

We are delighted to announce Bosch as our Deluxe sponsor and 360 Vision Technology as our Exhibitor Preview Drinks sponsor for 2016. Exhibitors already signed up include Dallmeier, Synectics, UK Broadband, Meyertech and the Security Institute to name a few.

Global MSC Security Conference and Exhibition returns for 2016

Global MSC events always attract high-calibre end-user delegates looking for suppliers for projects they are working on; currently committed to attend are numerous borough and city councils, police forces and private enterprises. By taking an exhibition or sponsorship package you will benefit from fun and relaxed networking at the gala dinner building relationships in advance of the +2 hours face-to-face networking time with the delegates on the Tuesday!

This is what The Bristol Hotel has to say about Global MSC:

“The Bristol has welcomed the organisers, exhibitors and delegates of the Global MSC Conference for the last 2 years and we are looking forward to working with them again in 2016. With an event of such variety; exhibition, conference, syndicate breakout rooms, lunch and dinner, it’s the perfect event to take the Meetings and Events centre on a private basis for a couple of days and has the undivided attention of the meetings team. As MSC is a business all about the highest standard of professional service we work hand in hand with them to ensure that everyone in attendance experiences the same from us. We are proud to work with Derek and team.”

A bit about Global MSC

Global MSC Security Conference and Exhibition returns for 2016Global MSC Security has been in business for 17 years providing independent security consultancy and expert advice, acting as trusted advisors in all aspects of physical and manned security including perimeter, CCTV and access control systems. Global MSC Security’s independent advice, knowledge of security technology, deployment of security devices, and the auditing of systems is trusted by public bodies and the private sector alike.

Global MSC has carried out security audits, tender specifications and implementations for London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield, Merton and Sutton, Bristol City Council, Traffic Wales, Dorset, Thames Valley and South Wales Police and many more.

Mike Pearce, Commissioning Manager, Merton Council said:

“Global MSC is an organisation that exemplifies the highest standards of professional service. Particularly with regard to very high quality technical advice and information, as well as prompt, well-written and evidence based cost-effective solutions at highly competitive rates.”

Richard Ward-Jones, Project Manager, Amey plc (Traffic Wales):

“When it comes to CCTV, I’ve not come across another organisation who come close to providing the same breadth of expertise as Global MSC can. I’ll certainly be continuing to work with them as our CCTV system evolves into the future and I’d have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Global MSC to anyone else who has a need for any advice or support where CCTV is concerned.”

MSC has been staging these successful conferences for eleven years. We recognised that we are in a unique position, liaising with both buyers and providers of services and/or equipment and are able to act as the conduit to link end-users with the right provider to fulfil their security needs. From the informal networking gala dinner to the highly informative formal presentations the following day, there is something for everyone to appreciate and the opportunity to compare providers in one location. This annual MSC seminar is seen as the gold standard of small, effective security shows.

Global MSC is very future-facing and their Gordon McLanaghan Security Innovation award compliments this event perfectly. Do you know an individual or a team that have gone above and beyond their role and responsibility in the security industry, showing creativity and innovation in implementing a new idea or initiative? If it benefits the security and technology industry and reduces costs to the organisation then why not nominate them for the annual Gordon McLanaghan Security Innovation Award?

This award is independently and anonymously judged by our panel of three professionals, chaired this year by Professor Kamal Bechkoum.

The winner(s) of the award will win a stunning piece of Bristol Blue Glass and a £1000 cheque in addition to free publicity for their company, marketing photography and a strong marketing story. Previous winners have included Safer Glasgow (2014) and Jim Guiton, Dacorum Borough Council (2015). Could you or someone you know be our 3rd winner?
