SIA stakeholder conference details announced

Security-Industry-Authority-LogoThe Security Industry Authority (SIA) is holding its stakeholder conference on Wednesday 20 November at the Cavendish Conference Centre in central London.

The Partners in Protecting Society conference will include presentations on serious and organised crime, physical intervention, the private investigations sector and planned service improvements.

The delegate fee for the conference is £110, which includes VAT, registration, lunch and refreshments, and the limited places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. The SIA have stated no bookings will be taken after 13 November.

The SIA is responsible for regulating the private security industry in the UK. It manages the licencing of individuals and the voluntary Approved Contractor Scheme.

All security operatives working under contract and all door supervisors must hold and display a valid SIA licence, while a non-front line licence is required for those who manage, supervise or employ individuals.

The Partners in Protecting Society conference will be held on 20 November at the Cavendish Conference Centre, Duchess Mews, London, W1G 9DT. Book your place at the conference at http://www.activate-events.co.uk/sia2013/
