Hanwha Techwin introduces Wisenet Q Flateye IR dome cameras

As part of the Wisenet Q series, the new H.265 domes feature a flat surface cover instead of the dome cover, which, according to the manufacturer will moderate IR diffused reflection caused by condensation and the effect scratches can have on image clarity. The cameras have been designed for high humidity and varying temperatures, particularly in challenging industrial environments.
The two-megapixel Wisenet QNE and four-megapixel QNE-7080RV Flateye domes have built-in IR functionality. This ensures recognition of up to 30m at night and with a 3.1x (3.2-10mm) motorised varifocal lens, the manufacturer states this will enable wide-angle monitoring for better clarification.
Defocus detection is also included in the new domes. This generates alerts if the camera is ‘defogging’ and makes corrections to blurry images which are captured in foggy conditions.
“These new models have been introduced to provide a highly effective and robust solution for our end-user clients who require high definition cameras to operate effectively,” said Uri Guterman, Head of Product & Marketing for Hanwha Techwin Europe. “Installers will also benefit from having to spend less times on site as there is no need to initially remove and then mount a dome cap during the installation process.”
Wide dynamic range (WDR) is another element featured in the new domes which can perform up to 150dB to produce images in outlooks containing both bright and dark areas, whilst Lens Distortion Correction (LDC) will compensate for the image distortion that occurs with wide angle lenses.
Finally, a Hallway View installation will be able to monitor narrow, vertical areas such as corridors and tunnels with the bonus of reducing bandwidth and video storage requirements.
