Healix Health Services, a UK-based independent healthcare trust provider, has today announced its partnership with Incorpore, a health and wellbeing company that provides discount schemes and wellness programmes designed to improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of the UK workforce.

As one of the UK’s largest health and wellness networks, Incorpore helps over 2000 employers across the UK and Ireland to provide staff with key health and fitness benefits, including access to discounted gym memberships through MyGymDiscounts.

Through the partnership, Healix will offer Incorpore’s fitness services to its members, helping employers to retain their current workforce – staff with access to health and wellness benefits are happier, healthier and more productive and this can boost employee engagement by more than a quarter (25%). With over two thirds of applicants (69%) likely to favour a job opportunity which offers better benefits, promoting regular exercise and providing access to wellbeing facilities also leaves employers better equipped to attract and retain talent.

Ian Talbot, CEO, Healix Health Services said: “Helping employees with their wellbeing is not only the right thing to do, making them happier and healthier, it also has undeniable business benefits. Physical and mental health play a huge role in how engaged and productive people are at work and in turn this impacts profitability. Helping our clients do just that has always been our core aim, so our partnership with Incorpore is very well matched.

“With their extensive experience working with thousands of employers and serving over 6.5 million employees across the UK, Incorpore have stayed true to their long-standing commitment of creating a fitter, happier and more productive workforce. The team really understands the importance of healthy employees in boosting business productivity and attracting talent, success and growth and we look forward to seeing the positive impact that their services will have on our clients.”

James Shillaker, Managing Director at Incorpore added: “The pandemic has shed some light on the importance of regular exercise for employee health and wellbeing and with many employees now returning to work, and companies permanently switching between hybrid working models, it’s crucial for employers to provide flexible options to access gyms and fitness facilities both near homes and workplaces.

“It’s great to see our vision align with that of Healix to deliver a company wellness programme which encompasses physical and mental health to as many employees as possible so that more companies can foster a healthier, happier and more productive workforce.”
